• Location: Tuas
• Transport: Company Transport / Transport Allowance $120 if candidate travels to work by themselves
• Working hours: Monday to Friday (8am – 5pm); Saturday (8am – 12pm) / Shift Work (Day: 8am – 8pm, Night: 8pm – 8am)
• Basic salary: $1,900 – $2,700 (Entitled to overtime/shift work allowances) + Sign‑on bonus (T&C apply)
• Minimum NITEC/Diploma in Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology, or a related field.
• Proficient in basic computer applications (e.g., MS Office, email, internet research).
• Able to perform overtime/shift work.

Responsibilities

• Work at distillation process plant to ensure spent waste material is distilled into product.
• Ensure distillation process plant operates within safe operation parameters.
• Ensure safety during transferring of flammable material.
• Coordinate with the Laboratory for waste/product sampling.
• Follow up on the SOP.
• Coordinate with the Laboratory & resale team for re‑sell items.
• Ensure sufficient storage capacity and that the product is safely stored and treated.
• Ensure performance and efficiency of the distillation process plant in terms of recovery yield and utilities consumption.
• Startup/shut down operation of the distillation process plant according to SOP.
• Record process data and report any deviations.
• Identify and rectify process upset and equipment malfunction in a timely manner.
• Work with engineering to resolve equipment issues and implement preventive measures.
• Conduct routine inspections for leaks, spills, and safety hazards. Ensure safe handling of flammable materials.
• Participate in training program to enhance chemical and safety knowledge.
• Cover the 5S and safety job for the department.
