Responsibilities
- Ensure distillation plant operates safely.
- Coordinate with the laboratory for waste sampling.
- Record process data and report deviations.
- Conduct routine inspections for safety hazards.

Education
NITEC/Diploma in Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology, or related field
Responsibilities
- To work at distillation process plant to make sure distil spent waste material into product.
- To ensure distillation process plant operates in safe operation parameters.
- To ensure the safety of the transferring of the flammable material.
- To ensure close co-ordination with the Laboratory for waste/product sampling.
- To ensure the following up of the SOP.
- To co-ordinate closely with the Laboratory & resale team for the re-sell items.
- To ensure there is sufficient storage capacity, and the product safely stored and treated.
- To ensure the performance and efficiency of distillation process plant in terms of the recovery yield and utilities consumption.
- Startup/shut down operation of distillation process plant according to SOP.
- Record process data and report any deviations.
- Identify and rectify process upset and equipment malfunction timely.
- Work with engineering to resolve equipment issues and implement preventive measures.
- conduct routine inspections for leaks, spills, and safety hazards. Ensure safe handling of materials that are flammable.
- To participate training program to enhance chemical and safety knowledge.
- To cover the 5S and safety job for the department.
Requirements
- Minimum NITEC/Diploma in Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology, or a related field.
- Proficient in basic computer applications (e.g., MS Office, email, internet research).
- Proficient in both written and spoken English.
- Able to perform overtime/shift work.
Remuneration
- Basic salary: $1,900 – $2,700
- Entitled Overtime / Shift Allowances
- Working hours: Monday to Friday (8am – 5pm); Saturday (8am – 12pm) / Shift Work (Day: 8am – 8pm, Night: 8pm – 8am)
- Company Transport / Transport Allowance ($120) if candidate manages own transport
