Job description
Responsibilities
  • Monitor and troubleshoot plant operations and perform 2-hour equipment checks using the “Field Operation Checklist,” promptly reporting any abnormalities.
  • To check the oil sludge hopper level from time to time.
  • Using Forklift to top up oil sludge bin.
  • Operate a forklift for clearing fly ash bins and slag containers, as well as topping up sand for the fluidizing bed incinerator.
  • Strictly abide on EHS policies and regulations at all times.
  • Operate the crane to top up oil sludge into the hopper.
  • Record plant operation parameters to monitor plant health performance.
  • To ensure the incinerator parameters is in good operating condition.
  • Regulate liquid waste treatment capacity as required, while monitoring wastewater and waste solvent tank levels and informing the Supervisor/Team Leader when levels reach low thresholds.
  • Compile and review daily operation reports.
  • Communicate effectively with staff to support safe plant operations and identify any safety lapses in routine tasks.
Requirements
  • Minimum NITEC or Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical / Electrical / Chemical) or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 – 3 years of experience in the Oil & petrochemical industries.
  • Good understanding of process plant operations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to work collaboratively as a team.
  • Willing to work rotating shifts.
  • Proficient in basic computer applications.
Remuneration
  • Basic salary: $1,900 – $2,700
  • Entitled to Overtime / Shift Allowance
  • Working hours (12-hour rotating shift): Monday to Friday (8am – 5pm); Saturday (8am – 12pm) / 4 Day Shift (8am – 8pm), 4 Night Shift (8pm – 8am); 1 Off Day and 1 Rest Day
  • Company Transport / Transport Allowance ($120) if candidate manages own transport
