Brief Summary:
Join a dynamic team as a Chemical Engineering Technician, where you will play a crucial role in monitoring plant operations and ensuring safety standards are met. This position offers the opportunity to engage in hands‑on tasks while contributing to effective waste management.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct regular monitoring and troubleshooting of plant operations, performing equipment checks every two hours using a checklist.
  • Measure oil sludge hopper levels periodically and use a forklift to manage oil sludge bins effectively.
  • Operate a forklift for tasks including clearing fly ash bins, slag containers, and refilling sand for the fluidizing bed incinerator.
  • Strictly adhere to environmental, health, and safety (EHS) policies and regulations.
  • Utilize a crane for topping up oil sludge into the hopper as needed.
  • Record and analyze plant operation parameters to assess overall performance health.
  • Ensure incinerator operational parameters are maintained within optimal conditions.
  • Regulate liquid waste treatment capacity and monitor wastewater and solvent tank levels, informing supervisors of any low thresholds.
  • Compile and review daily operation reports for accuracy and compliance.
  • Collaborate with staff to promote safe plant operations and address any safety issues promptly.
Requirements
  • Minimum NITEC or Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical) or equivalent.
  • At least 2 to 3 years of relevant experience in the oil and petrochemical sector.
  • Strong understanding of process plant operations and equipment.
