Job summary

A local restaurant in Singapore is seeking experienced culinary staff to ensure high-quality food production and kitchen operations. Candidates should have at least 3 to 5 years of experience in the restaurant industry, possess a Professional Certificate/NiTEC in Food & Beverage Services Management, and demonstrate strong teamwork and creativity. The role requires adherence to hygiene standards and commitment to high culinary standards.

Qualifications

  • Have completed Basic Food Hygiene course.
  • Strong teamwork spirit, able to collaborate effectively with other chefs and kitchen staff.

Job description
Job Responsibilities:
  • Produce all items relating to the menu to the establishment standards set by the Senior Sous Chef.
  • Coordinate food production, stock and quality in the relevant station that the Chef de Partie is assigned to.
  • Comply with food safety and hygiene standards to esnure all dishes meet quality and sanitation.
  • Ensure all equipment failure and hazards are reported to the Senior Sous Chef or another senior member of staff.
  • Ensure a strict control on food waste and reporting any wastre in the correct procedure.
  • Ensure a correct standard of stock rotation, making sure food products are used prior to the best before date.
  • Ensure all portion controls are strictly adhered to.
  • Ensure the highest standard of fod production and presentation at all times as per standard of performance manual and recipes.
  • Ensure work surfaces, refrigeration, stores are cleaned and sanitised before end of work.
  • Ensure the kitchen is secure, clean and safe before going off shift.
  • Participate in monthly physical stock take of the Restaurant, including but no limited to plates and utensils.
  • Work closely with fellow chefs and service staff to ensure timely delivery of dishes and an outstanding dinning experience.
  • Perform miscellaneous job-related duties assigned.
Job Requirements:
  • At least 3 to 5 years of working experience in the restaurant or hospitality industries.
  • Candidate must possess at least Professtion Certificate/NiTEC in Food & Beverage Services Management or equivalent.
  • Required Skill(s): Culinary
  • Have completed Basic Food Hygience course.
  • Strong teamwork spirit, able to collaborate effectively with other chefs and kitchen staff.
  • Passion for food, creative & result-oriented.
  • 6 days work inlc. weekends and public holidays.

The position and remuneration package will commensurate to work experience.
