Job summary

Our Client a manufacturer of bread, cakes, and confectionery in Singapore, is inviting qualified candidates to fill the position as Chef de Partie.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Execute daily high- and mid-skill tasks including but not limited to:
  • batter preparation, moulding, shaping, baking, and oven management (Pastry Production only)
  • Decorating of bakes and preparation of frosting and other components (Pastry Décor only)
  • Bread dough mixing, proofing, shaping, baking and finishing of baked items, preparation of sauces and condiments (Bread Production only)
  • Maintain batch quality, consistency, and timing across all baking activities
  • Maintain mise en place readiness, assist with equipment checks, and ensure compliance with hygiene and safety standards
  • Provide on-the-job training to junior staff (Commis) and support process improvements
REQUIREMENTS
  • At least 3–5 years of experience in bakery or pastry production, ideally in high-volume operations
  • Comfortable and familiar with production routines
  • Experience guiding and supporting junior staff (Commis)
  • Good knowledge in bread and pastry production, with strong skills in batter preparation, moulding, shaping, oven management, baking, decoration, and frosting
  • Ability to maintain consistency in batch quality and timing
  • Knowledge of mise en place readiness, equipment checks, hygiene, and safety standards
  • Possess basic computer skills and proficiency in word processing and emails
  • Good communication skills and ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail and consistency
  • Positive, collaborative attitude with willingness to support process improvements
  • Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays
  • Diploma in Pastry/Baking/Culinary Arts is advantageous
  • Basic Food Hygiene Certification (WSQ) required
