Overview

Responsibility:

As a Chef, you must lead and work with the kitchen team to maintain tacit understanding and work efficiency. Ensure prepare or supervise cooking and other food preparation activities based on specific traditional cuisine on a daily basis and ensuring that the food quality of the product is consistently upheld.

Job Description
  • Ensure that all ingredients are fresh and of high quality before operation.
  • Prepare menu items in order and cook in time and works quickly and accurately during busy periods, such as weekends.
  • Maintaining and cleaning kitchen at all time.
  • Understand raw materials, quality control and other techniques to effectively create and distribute food.
  • Prepare menus in conjunction with the F&B Director and Sous Chefs to stay relevant to current cuisine trends and techniques through personal creativity.
  • Able to making, understand, preparing traditional food.
  • Lead the team assistant to complete daily order work.
  • Ensure freshness and quality of all menu items.
  • Analyse guest feedback, guest satisfaction and employee satisfaction information; and give a positive commitment to continuous improvement of food and performance.
  • Able to work in hot, oily and pressure environment.
  • Able to accept working on shift arrangement (Night/ Early morning shift).

Requirements
  • At least 2 Year(s) of working experience and have experience in the related field is required for this position.
  • Candidate must possess at least higher Education/ Diploma in any field.
  • Strong leadership skills and management competencies.
  • Strategic & critical thinking as well as decision-making and negotiation skills.
  • Able to adapt, prioritize, exercise initiative, manage pressure, multi task and work independently.
  • Excellent organizational and coordination skills, including communication and interpersonal skills to deal with a diverse spectrum of people.
  • Time management/ meticulous and mature in work.
