Job summary

A leading maritime service provider in Singapore is seeking a highly motivated individual to manage the cargo book in the Asia-Pacific region. Qualifications

  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of supramax trades.

Responsibilities

  • Build the cargo book within the Indian ocean/Asia-pacific region.
  • Maintain and develop relationships with clients and other stakeholders.
  • Evaluate various opportunities & negotiate and finalise charter parties.
  • Work closely with Operations department to ensure smooth performance of voyages.
  • Generate and submit performance reports in a timely and accurate manner.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Build the cargo book within the Indian ocean/Asia-pacific region (spot and forward) and secure tonnage to cover positions.
  • To maintain and develop relationships with clients and other stakeholders.
  • To evaluate various opportunities & negotiate and finalise charter parties.
  • Work closely with Operations department to ensure smooth performance of voyages.
  • Study/understand new trades and ports.
  • Generate and submit performance reports and other assigned reports in a timely and accurate manner.
The Ideal Candidate has:
  • University degree in a relevant discipline.
  • Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in a similar role, preferably in an Operating firm.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of supramax trades.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Proactivity, ability to be self-reliant and take ownership.
  • Ability to foster relationships.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
