Channel Account Manager
Summary: To oversee and grow strategic relationships within the retail sector. This individual will be instrumental in driving sales of consumer electronics and IT peripheral products through established and new retail partners. The ideal candidate brings a blend of retail channel expertise, strong commercial acumen, and a proven track record in account growth and partner engagement.
Responsibilities
- Retail Partner Management: Build, maintain, and deepen relationships with key retail accounts to ensure alignment, satisfaction, and consistent sales performance.
- Sales Execution: Develop and implement strategic sales plans aimed at meeting or exceeding revenue targets through upselling, cross-selling, and promotional activities.
- Channel Expansion: Identify and onboard new retail partners to increase brand visibility and market penetration.
- Go-to-Market Strategy: Partner with marketing and product teams to coordinate in-store promotions, seasonal campaigns, and product launches.
- Sales Forecasting & Reporting: Track sales performance, analyze key metrics, and deliver timely forecasts and insights to internal stakeholders.
- Training & Enablement: Provide product training and ongoing support to retail staff to ensure strong product knowledge and effective in-store representation.
- Market Intelligence: Monitor competitive landscape and consumer behavior to inform channel strategy and adjust approaches accordingly.
Qualifications
- Diploma or higher qualification in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in retail channel sales, ideally within IT peripherals, consumer electronics, or FMCG sectors.
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Strong analytical capabilities with the ability to turn data into actionable insights.
- Self-driven, with strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with Power BI and CRM platforms is a strong advantage.
