Job summary
JOBSTER PRIVATE LTD. in Singapore is seeking a hands-on Platform Engineer to operate and maintain Ceph-based storage for our on-prem Kubernetes/OpenShift platform.
You will monitor health, manage OSD/node maintenance, perform upgrades, and troubleshoot storage issues, collaborating with infra teams to ensure reliability.
Experience with Ceph, storage performance analysis, and automation with Ansible or Python will help you succeed.
Qualifications
- Hands-on Ceph experience required.
- Experience in storage monitoring and capacity planning.
- Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot storage across software, Linux, networks and hardware.
- Automation experience with Ansible and/or Python/shell workflows.
Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain Ceph and OpenShift Data Foundation storage environments.
- Monitor cluster health, capacity, latency, throughput and device status.
- Manage OSD and node replacement, recovery, and maintenance tasks.
- Plan and perform Ceph/ODF upgrades and configuration changes.
- Support storage through Ceph CSI, RBD, and CephFS.
- Troubleshoot PV provisioning and performance issues.
- Maintain dashboards, alerts and runbooks.
- Coordinate hardware/network maintenance with infra teams.
- Contribute to incident response and post-mortems.
