Job summary

A prominent catering company in Singapore is looking for a skilled individual to supervise daily food preparation for Indonesian dishes. The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years of experience in high-volume food production, a strong knowledge of Indonesian cuisine, and the ability to ensure food safety and hygiene standards. This role includes monitoring workflow and conducting staff training.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3–5 years experience in central kitchen or high-volume food production.
  • Strong knowledge of Indonesian traditional dishes, sauces, and ingredients.
  • Good understanding of food hygiene and safety standards.
  • Experience in supervising a kitchen team.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate daily food preparation for Indonesian dishes.
  • Ensure all dishes meet company standards in taste, quality, presentation, and portioning.
  • Monitor cooking methods, portion control, and wastage.

  2. Ensure all dishes meet company standards in taste, quality, presentation, and portioning.
  3. Monitor cooking methods, portion control, and wastage.
  4. Maintain smooth workflow between prep, cooking, and packing areas.
  5. Support menu R&D, new product testing, and recipe standardization for Indonesian dishes.
  6. Monitor usage of raw materials and control food cost and wastage.
  7. Conduct on-the-job training for new staff and ensure adherence to SOPs.
Requirements
  1. Minimum 3–5 years experience in a central kitchen or high-volume food production environment, specializing in Indonesian cuisine.
  2. Strong knowledge of Indonesian traditional dishes, sauces, and ingredients.
  3. Good understanding of food hygiene and safety standards.
  4. Experience in supervising a kitchen team.
  5. Able to work under pressure and meet tight production deadlines.
