Job description

We're seeking an experienced and skilled Head of Bakery and Pastry Department to lead our team of bakers and pastry chefs in our retail and central kitchen. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the production of high-quality baked goods, pastries, and desserts, while maintaining a clean and efficient workspace.


Key Responsibilities:


1. Product Development:

  • Create and innovate new recipes for baked goods, pastries, and desserts.
  • Ensure products meet quality and presentation standards.

2. Production Management:

  • Oversee daily production of baked goods, pastries, and desserts.
  • Manage inventory, ordering, and storage of ingredients.

3. Team Management:

  • Lead, train, and motivate a team of bakers and pastry chefs.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback.

4. Quality Control:

  • Ensure all products meet quality and safety standards.
  • Implement quality control measures to maintain consistency.

5. Menu Planning:

  • Collaborate with the culinary team to develop menus featuring baked goods and pastries.
  • Ensure seasonal and themed products are developed and implemented.
