Job Responsibilities

• Develop and manage category strategies, including product assortment and merchandising plans aligned with business goals.
• Customize plans to fit each store’s layout and customer needs.
• Plan store layouts and brand placements; ensure planograms are implemented correctly.
• Track product and category performance, improving ranges and removing low-performing items.
• Use data and insights to drive category growth and optimize results.
• Build strong vendor relationships to support sales, margins, and product innovation.
• Manage vendor performance and negotiate pricing to meet margin targets.
• Oversee product selection, purchasing, and stock levels to ensure availability and reduce overstock.
• Work with Operations, Marketing, and other teams on promotions and seasonal activities.
• Provide regular reports and manage projects like layout changes and seasonal updates.
• Maintain accurate product data.

Job Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in a relevant field
• At least 5 years of experience in category management, buying, or merchandising (FMCG or multi-category preferred)
• Strong in pricing, supplier negotiations, and vendor management
• Experienced in leading projects from planning to execution
• Detail-oriented and good with numbers
• Proactive, efficient, and self-motivated

Salary range : $5,500.00 to S$6,000.00
