Job summary

CRESCITA PTE. LTD. in Singapore seeks a hands-on Lead Carpenter to manage the carpentry team on-site. You will oversee project execution, review drawings, coordinate schedules, and ensure compliance with safety and building standards.

You will coach juniors, assign tasks, liaise with project managers and other trades, inspect work, and resolve issues promptly to keep projects on track.

Qualifications

• Self-motivated and takes initiative.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Project management skills to plan, organize and oversee carpentry projects.
• Willingness to work on public holidays, Saturdays and Sundays as required.
• Able to perform hands-on carpentry tasks and guide junior carpenters.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the carpentry team to ensure adherence to project plans and specifications.
• Assign tasks to carpenters and monitor their performance and progress to meet project goals.
• Conduct regular site inspections to verify work quality and safety compliance.
• Collaborate with project managers and other trades to coordinate work schedules and timelines.
• Ensure availability and condition of materials and tools for carpentry tasks.
• Review blueprints and drawings to determine precise project specifications.
• Ensure carpentry work complies with building codes and industry standards.
• Conduct inspections and audits of completed work to maintain quality and safety.
• Identify and resolve issues in carpentry work promptly to avoid delays.
