Job description

Interpretation & Planning

• Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and technical drawings to determine project specifications and material requirements.

Construction & Installation (Rough Work)

• Measure, cut, shape wood, and other materials using hand and power tools.
• Construct and install structural frameworks (e.g. framing for walls, floors, and roofs).
• Erect, level, and install temporary structures like shoring and scaffolding.
• Build and set forms for concrete foundations and columns (formwork).

Safety & Site Management

• Adhere strictly to safety protocols and building codes at all times.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Perform routine maintenance on tools and equipment.

Collaboration & Administration

• Collaborate and communicate effectively with supervisor and project managers.
• Estimate job material requirements and assist with ordering supplies.
