A Carpenter is responsible for constructing, installing, and repairing wooden structures and fixtures. Carpenters work in residential, commercial, and industrial construction, creating frameworks, furniture, and other wooden elements according to specifications and design plans.
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine project requirements.
Measure, cut, shape, and assemble wood, plywood, and other materials using hand tools and power tools.
Construct, install, or repair wooden frameworks, furniture, doors, windows, cabinets, and other fixtures.
Ensure that finished products are aligned, level, and meet quality and safety standards.
Collaborate with construction teams, architects, and designers to meet project timelines.
Maintain and care for tools, equipment, and materials.
Follow safety protocols to prevent accidents and injuries on the construction site.
Proficient in using carpentry hand tools and power tools.
Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
Knowledge of woodworking techniques and joinery methods.
Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
Ability to lift and handle heavy materials safely.
Attention to detail for precise measurements and finishing.
