Overview

This role involves setting up and managing a community centre. You will work closely with residents and community partners to co-create and run activities, encourage community participation, and oversee the daily operations of the centre.

Responsibilities
  • Partner with residents and community groups to plan and run activities and interest groups
  • Encourage and support residents to lead their own activities
  • Work with local leaders and stakeholders to deliver meaningful programs
  • Collect feedback to improve future programs and understand residents’ needs
  • Promote and guide residents to join health, social, and community programs
  • Encourage involvement in activities such as exercise, volunteering, and interest groups
  • Oversee daily operations and logistics of the physical space
  • Handle budgeting, attendance tracking, and data collection for program evaluation
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences (e.g., Social Work, Counseling, Psychology)
  • 2–3 years of experience in social care, aged care, or community engagement
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
