A healthcare institution in Singapore is seeking a Cardiac Technologist responsible for supervising and coordinating the cardiovascular laboratory's daily operations. The role involves ensuring quality control measures, training staff, and conducting diagnostic tests as part of patient care. Candidates must be registered cardiovascular Technologists with at least two years of experience in a hospital setting, possessing strong skills in clinical research and quality assurance.
1. JOB PURPOSE
To coordinate and participate in a variety of duties involved in the operation and maintenance of cardiovascular equipment to provide detailed analysis of cardiovascular functions in the laboratory.
Specific (85%)
i. Supervise, coordinate, and participate in activities of cardiovascular laboratory including transthoracic and trans-esophageal echocardiography, treadmill ECG stress testing, Blood Pressure and Holter monitoring and invasive cardiovascular test.
General
i. Participate in the collaborative studies with clinicians on cases of special interest and significance as requested by the principal / Chief Medical Technologist or Cardiologist.
ii. Participate in relevant hospital committees and meetings.
iii. Mentor junior staff and develop a harmonious and pleasant work environment.
iv. Be actively involved in the Hospital’s Quality Improvement Program as well as the Community.
Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer / Bachelor of Science degree / Polytechnic Diploma in cardiovascular or medical sonography.
Registered cardiovascular Technologist with The Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Professionals (CAAHEP) or American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
Minimum 2 years' experience as a Cardiac Technologist in a hospital setting.
