Overview

We are seeking a Carbon Policy Manager to support WWF-Singapore’s efforts to advance high-integrity carbon markets and mobilise carbon finance towards natural landscapes. The role combines policy making, programme management and coordination, as well as stakeholder engagement to support WWF’s carbon finance programmes and uptake of WWF’s approach to carbon finance within the region.

Responsibilities
  • Carbon Finance Policy development
    • Develop and update WWF-Singapore’s Carbon Finance policy, aligned with WWF’s global finance (carbon and sustainable finance) priorities as well as national, regional and global policy developments in carbon finance.
  • Carbon Programme Management and Coordination
    • Coordinate and manage key programme milestones of WWF-Singapore’s priority carbon finance related programmes, including in support of WWF’s involvement in the SCeNe coalition.
    • Support the development of concept notes, proposals, and partnership frameworks for donors, financial partners, and institutional investors to strengthen support for WWF’s approach to carbon finance.
  • Stakeholder Engagement
    • Build and manage strong relationships with carbon finance ecosystem with the view to advocate for WWF’s position on carbon finance – particularly in the areas of securing high quality demand for carbon credits and carbon project design approaches.
Skills and Requirements
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Environmental Studies, Sustainability, Public Policy, Development Studies, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 3- years of relevant experience in carbon markets.
  • Familiarity with national, regional and global policy developments in carbon finance as well as high quality carbon project design elements – with a willingness to deepen knowledge in these areas.
  • Demonstrated experience and in stakeholder engagement, partnership development, or coordination with government, corporate, or non-profit actors.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including experience preparing proposals, progress reports, and partner communications.
