Position: Carbon Origination and Trading (Executive/Manager/Director)

More than 15 years in the making with $2B in revenue and 23 TWh traded last year, Aither, a renowned Swiss trading house specializing in environmental commodities, is on the lookout for a dynamic and experienced professional to become an integral part of its team based in Singapore to aid in the fast‑growing business activities with a specific focus to drive operational excellence and strategic enhancements. This role entails a seamless operational journey for our clients, partners in achieving efficiency and compliance across our processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Originating and structuring commercial proposals including financial modelling and underwriting of projects.
  • Maintain existing partnerships and clients.
  • Identify and drive new customer acquisition in spot trading and forward contracts.
  • Manage reports and data analytics efficiently.
  • Optimize, streamline or improve day‑to‑day trading activities.
  • Liaise with internal departments for contract endorsement and assist in verifying contractual terms & conditions.
  • Efficiently manage and drive excellence for knowledge management, policy frameworks while keeping abreast of market developments and intelligence.
  • Travel overseas up to 30% of the time for conferences and business meetings.
  • Other ad‑hoc duties as assigned.
Key Requirements
  • Diploma/Degree in a relevant field with at least 2‑3 years of work experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint and especially Excel).
  • Experience with sales software and data analytics tools e.g. CRM, PowerBI would be an advantage.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, attention to detail and comfort in working with numbers.
  • Experience in sales/business development execution (Background in Finance, Utilities, Commodity/Trading, Clean Energy, Carbon Origination/Management sectors would be an added advantage).
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
  • Team player yet independent personnel with strong communication and interpersonal skills preferred.
  • Candidates from Malaysia, China, Hong Kong, South Korea or Taiwan that require sponsorships are welcome.
