Report to: Global Lead, Carbon Finance & Markets Taskforce

We are seeking an experienced Carbon Finance and Markets Manager to lead WWF-Singapore’s efforts to advance high-integrity carbon markets and mobilise carbon finance towards natural landscapes. The role combines strategy and programme development, stakeholder engagement, and partnership management to strengthen the credibility and impact of carbon finance in Singapore and the region.

Key Responsibilities
Carbon Finance Programme and Strategy Development
  • Lead, develop and manage WWF-Singapore’s carbon innovation workstream, with a focus on building ecosystem capacity and mobilising finance towards natural landscapes.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of WWF-Singapore’s carbon finance strategy, aligning with WWF’s global priorities and Singapore’s national climate objectives.
  • Coordinate with complementary carbon finance or conservation efforts within WWF and external partners to increase the effectiveness of carbon financing deployed.
  • Represent WWF-Singapore in strategic dialogues, policy discussions, and working groups to advocate for credible, transparent, and equitable carbon finance mechanisms.
Strategic Engagement and Influence
  • Build and maintain high-impact relationships with key stakeholders across government, industry, finance, and civil society.
  • Serve as WWF-Singapore’s point of contact for priority partnerships, representing WWF-Singapore in national and international meetings and forums.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to accelerate carbon innovation, scale carbon financing to natural landscapes
  • Shape market standards, policy frameworks, and private sector practices through thought leadership and coalition-building.
Partnership Development & Delivery
  • Lead the development of proposals to relevant key stakeholders
  • Steward existing partnerships to ensure delivery, compliance, and long-term impact, such as through preparing partnership updates, reports, and briefings for internal and external stakeholders.
Skills and Requirements
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Studies, Sustainability, Public Policy, Development Studies, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of relevant experience in programme or project management, preferably in the sustainability, environmental, or development sectors.
  • Strong ability to design, implement, and monitor programmes involving multiple stakeholders, partners, and funding streams.
  • Familiarity with carbon markets, climate finance, or nature-based solutions — with a willingness to deepen technical knowledge in these areas.
  • Demonstrated experience in stakeholder engagement, partnership development, or coordination with government, corporate, or non-profit actors.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including experience preparing proposals, progress reports, and partner communications.
  • Highly organised, adaptable, and capable of managing priorities in a dynamic, multi-stakeholder environment.
