About the role
Service and repair all types of petrol, diesel and hybrid vehicles, with a specialised focus on engine and gearbox overhauls, air conditioning systems, and routine servicing. Perform vehicle inspections, major mechanical repairs, component replacements, and troubleshoot electrical wiring issues. Conduct rigorous quality control checks to ensure consistent, high-standard performance before vehicle handover.
Key Responsibilities
- Service and repair petrol, diesel and hybrid vehicles, covering Japan models, Continental cars, and commercial vehicles as required.
- Execute complete engine and gearbox overhauls, manual/automatic transmission rebuilding and cylinder head repairs.
- Diagnose, service, and repair comprehensive automotive air conditioning systems, including compressors, cooling coils and climate control electronics.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electronic and electrical wiring problems.
- Perform general maintenance, including routine servicing, brake work, suspension repairs and tire changing.
- Conduct strict quality control and test driving checks to ensure flawless workshop output.
- Maintaining detailed records of work performed.
- Maintain workshop safety, organisation, and daily housekeeping standards.
About you
- Experience: MUST have solid, hands on professional working experience in a car workshop, with proven competence in engine and gearbox overhauls and A/C repairs.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in engine and transmission rebuilding, automotive electrical wiring and computerised diagnostics.
- Hybrid Knowledge: Experienced or trained in handling hybrid vehicle powertrains and electrical systems.
- Soft Skills: Friendly, approachable, easy to communicate with and a strong team player.
