Call Agent (Medical Interpreter) (100% WFH, Overnight Shifts)

Permanent Night Shift Job and WFH. 9 hours per shift (Inclusive 1 hour break). Shift period starts between 7:00 PM and 3:00 AM.

Job Summary

Provide real-time interpretation services to support effective communication across language barriers. This role involves handling spontaneous telephone or video calls, delivering consecutive interpretation between different languages with speed and precision.

Key Responsibilities

• Interpret spoken dialogue promptly and accurately, ensuring cultural awareness and maintaining a professional and respectful demeanor.
• Use appropriate terminology relevant to various industries and demonstrate knowledge of standard practices.
• Facilitate conversations on a wide range of topics, from basic to complex, in sectors such as healthcare, government, insurance, finance, utilities, travel, emergency response (911), law enforcement, legal settings, and general business.

Requirements

• Minimum educational qualification of NITEC or higher.
• Strong skills in active listening, memory retention, and note-taking to ensure precise interpretation.
• Ability to remain focused and impartial during conversations, maintaining objectivity throughout.
• Build rapport and trust with clients through professional behavior and effective communication.
• Adheres strictly to client instructions during interpretation assignments.
• Provides cultural context when needed to avoid miscommunication, with prior client consent.
