A local café in Singapore is seeking a dedicated kitchen staff member to prepare a variety of hot food items and pastries. Responsibilities include cooking according to recipes, maintaining kitchen hygiene, and assisting in menu planning. Ideal candidates should have experience in both hot kitchen and pastry environments, possess good knowledge of food safety standards, and be ready to work under pressure. Prepare and cook a variety of hot food items (e.g., pasta, sandwiches, rice bowls, soups) according to café recipes and quality standards.
Plan daily food preparation based on menu and customer demand.
Ensure proper storage and rotation of ingredients to maintain freshness and prevent wastage.
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen, including proper handling of food and compliance with safety standards.
Assist in menu planning, costing, and seasonal food development.
Monitor inventory and assist in ordering kitchen supplies and ingredients.
Ensure all food items are presented attractively and served at the correct temperature.
Collaborate with the service team to ensure smooth food service operations.
Perform daily cleaning and maintenance of kitchen equipment and tools.
