Responsibilities
- Provide schematic drawings and generate accurate, detailed and to scale drawings and layout plans based on Client’s requirement
- Use a variety of drawing software programmes to create designs in 2D and 3D models. Build 3D models using available software (. e.g AutoCAD, Sketchup, Revit Architecture, Navisworks, etc.) for clients to visualize our proposals before building them
- Co-manage the client’s drawings database using available construction management software (i.e, ACC)
- Present working drawings for use in all stages of the project, tender, manufacture/construction and installation
- Coordinate with project engineers for any technical drawing support from feasibility to as-built review for projects.
- Attend meetings with consultants (architect, structural, mechanical and electrical engineer) to understand their design and local authority requirement
- Coordinate with facilities team for any technical drawing support required to generate test fits for space management, equipment layout management, etc.
- Ensure drawings are compliant with local building regulations and engineering principles and health and safety standards and protocols
- Conduct site visits and surveys and research, if applicable
- Ensure proper documentation/ drawings control inclusive of drawings submitted by other sub-contractors
- Calculate costs and apply knowledge of materials and engineering principles to check the feasibility of manufacture and construction of the product
Requirements
- Min 5 years of relevant experience
- Bachelor’s degree in architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
- Expertise in CAD software (i.e. AutoCAD) and BIM software (i.e. Autodesk Revit) is crucial. Other modelling and rendering programs with same level of expertise (i.e. Sketchup, Enscape, Vray, etc).
- Knowledgeable in construction management software (i.e. ACC)
- Interpret and understand design data, construction methodologies and perform quality checks
- Capable of analyzing design and technical specifications to resolve engineering problems efficiently
- Excellent stakeholder management skills with demonstrated ability to work effectively with clients, consultants, and contractors
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational capabilities
