Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Engineering, Architecture or related discipline.
• Proficiency in CAD software, particularly AutoCAD or equivalents.
• Strong knowledge of construction drawing standards and building codes.
• Excellent attention to detail and precision.
• Ability to interpret sketches, specs and verbal instructions.
• Well-organised, able to manage multiple drawing projects.
• Team player with good communication skills.
• Experience in drafter roles within construction or engineering is advantageous.
• Familiarity with BIM or advanced design tools is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed technical drawings using CAD based on architect and engineer specs.
• Convert sketches and calculations into accurate working drawings for construction.
• Prepare construction drawings for building projects.
• Maintain accuracy and ensure drawings meet standards and codes.
• Update drawings in response to design changes and client feedback.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers and project managers to resolve queries.
• Conduct quality checks to identify and correct errors.
• Organise drawing files and version control.
• Support tender documentation and construction specifications as required.
