A metal fabrication company in Singapore seeks a skilled individual to prepare shop and fabrication drawings, convert designs into CAD for CNC laser cutting, and operate CNC cutting machines. This role demands independence and coordination with the production team, with training provided for operating CNC machines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare shop and fabrication drawings for metal works.
• Convert design drawings into fabrication-ready CAD drawings.
• Operate CNC laser cutting machines and perform maintenance.

Skills

Proficient in AutoCAD (2D & 3D)

Experience in metal fabrication

Able to read and interpret construction drawings

Familiar with steel materials and fabrication processes

Experience operating CNC laser cutting machines

Job description

Job Responsibilities:

• Prepare shop drawings and fabrication drawings for construction metal works

• Prepare laser cutting drawings for CNC machines

• Convert design / construction drawings into fabrication-ready CAD drawings for CNC laser cutting

• Maintain drawing revisions and proper documentation

• Operate CNC laser cutting machines (plate and section where applicable, training provided)

• Perform machine setup, parameter adjustment, and cutting operation

• Monitor cutting quality and troubleshoot basic machine issue

• Perform basic machine maintenance and daily checks

• Support continuous improvement in cutting efficiency, accuracy, and material utilization

• Coordinate with production supervisor on production schedule and job priorities

Job Requirements:

• Proficient in AutoCAD (2D & 3D)

• Experience in metal fabrication or construction environment

• Able to read and interpret construction and fabrication drawing

• Familiar with steel materials and fabrication processes (advantage)

• Experience operating CNC laser cutting machines will be an advantage

• Able to work independently and coordinate with production team
