Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, design, or similar.
• At least 2 years’ experience as a design drafter or in a similar role.
• Working knowledge of CAD software, drawing programs, and 3D modeling tools such as SmartDraw and SketchUp.
• Excellent knowledge of architectural and engineering design principles.
• Solid math and analytical skills.
• Ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Collect structural materials required for designs.
• Calculate dimensions, weight limits, and measurements for designs.
• Draft designs using CAD software.
• Create diagrams and layouts to illustrate workflow of designs.
• Collaborate with design team to review drawings and designs.
• Make adjustments to drawings per engineer/architect feedback.
• Ensure designs comply with company regulations and quality standards.
• Set up drawing formats and configuration files.
