Job summary

Jump Trading Group in Singapore offers a 10-week software engineering internship within our core development team, focusing on a high-performance distributed trading system. You will code, test, and maintain production-grade components, learning how real-time financial software is built and deployed.

You will work alongside experienced engineers, receive ongoing mentorship, and participate in Agile development and full-cycle release processes.

Qualifications

• Experience with C++ programming on Linux.
• Strong understanding of data structures and threading models.
• Ability to work with a team in a fast-paced environment, deploying new software daily.
• Passion for solving complex problems and learning to build optimal solutions from scratch.
• Interest in hardware, networking, OS design to produce high-performance software.
• Reliable and predictable availability.
• No finance study or work experience required.
• Past internship or job experience in software development is a plus.
• Advanced coursework in algorithms, network programming, operating systems, compilers is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Participate in a 10-week intensive internship on Jump’s distributed trading system.
• Learn fundamentals of large-scale, high-performance infrastructure.
• Sharpen C++ programming skills and coding practices.
• Work on production-targeted projects through full-cycle development, testing, and release.
• Receive mentoring and ongoing feedback from a dedicated mentor.
• Utilize Agile methodologies in development and delivery.
