Job summary

Allegis Group Singapore Pte Ltd seeks a C++ Low Latency Engineer to design and optimise high-performance market data platforms for real-time trading environments. You will build infrastructure across global markets, tackling microsecond latency, reliability, and scalability challenges.

The role focuses on modern C++17/20, low-latency architectures, and Linux kernel profiling within a fast-paced fintech setting. Strong collaboration across global teams is expected.

Qualifications

  • Modern C++: Expert-level knowledge of C++17/C++20, template metaprogramming, and RAII.
  • Low-Latency Architecture: Proven track record building high-frequency trading engines or ultra-low-latency market data systems.
  • Linux Systems Programming: Deep understanding of the Linux kernel, memory management, huge pages, and CPU pinning.
  • Concurrency Models: Mastery of lock-free data structures, multithreading primitives, and memory barriers.
  • Network Programming: Strong experience with TCP/UDP socket programming, multicast streaming, and custom serialization.

Responsibilities

  • High-Performance Development: Write clean, resilient, and thread-safe modern C++ code optimized for microsecond-level performance.
  • Latency Optimization: Profile systems to eliminate CPU bottlenecks, minimize cache misses, and reduce context switching.
  • Feed Handling & Protocols: Build and maintain exchange connectivity layers utilizing FIX, FAST, and native binary wire protocols.
  • Architecture Evolution: Modernize legacy real-time distribution frameworks into scalable, high-throughput hybrid architectures.
  • System Telemetry: Implement microsecond-level tracing, instrumentation, and eBPF profiling to monitor data journeys.
  • Production Resiliency: Provide Level 3 engineering support to debug complex, concurrent production issues and guarantee uptime.
