Job description

Role:

• Work to fulfil the ambitions of the team defined by Head of CoE Software Solutions.
• Actively participate and support the head of the team to regularly review and improve team practices to optimise efficiency and productivity.
• Continuously drive and improve systems.
• Effective and progressive management of all stakeholders and users of applications supported by the team.
• Provide regular updates to key stakeholders through the various channels used by the team.
• Actively participate and support Program Increment (PI) planning process within Markets.
• Support change management and release rollout planning.
• Provide dedicated post implementation support locally in Asia.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement high-quality software solutions for our financial products and services.
• Develop and maintain backend services and APIs using either Java or C#. Optimize server-side performance and ensure data integrity and security.
• Contribute to containerizing our applications.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code while adhering to industry best practices, including code reviews, testing, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD).

Requirements;

• Relevant higher educational and professional background with 10+ years of experience in software development of which 5+ as a backend developer.
• Prior experience of working in a financial services industry is mandatory
  • Profound hands-on C# and/or Java
  • Good knowledge of reactive libraries, patterns and frameworks (e.g. reactive extensions)
  • Good knowledge of Mongo DB and MS SQL
  • Good knowledge of RabbitMQ, gRPC and GraphQL
  • Willing to work in a global team that has members in Singapore & Thailand
  • Good hands-on JavaScript/TypeScript programming skills is an advantage
  • Good knowledge of current JavaScript frameworks (ReactJS) and technologies (Typescript) is an advantage
  • Familiarity with GraphQL is a plus
  • Familiarity with frontend build tools and package managers (e.g. Webpack, NPM) is a plus
  • Familiarity with cloud-based development, ideally in application containerization as well as Azure Application services is preferred
  • Candidates must possess business-level Thai proficiency to effectively liaise with Thai national counterparts and stakeholders on a regular basis particularly for application and production review processes.
