Job summary

Pratt & Whitney, a leading aerospace company, seeks a Strategy Specialist (Procurement) in Singapore to develop category strategies, lead RFx activities, and optimize supplier performance. You will negotiate terms, manage supplier relationships, and drive cost reductions in a cross-functional environment.

The role involves risk assessments, governance compliance, and partnering with Operations, Engineering, Finance, Quality, Legal, and other units to deliver strategic sourcing initiatives.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics(STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute category strategies, sourcing plans, and procurement initiatives aligned with business objectives.
• Lead supplier selection, RFx (RFI/RFQ/RFP), tender exercises, and commercial evaluations to achieve best value.
• Negotiate commercial terms, MSAs, LTAs, and other procurement contracts.
• Manage strategic supplier relationships through supplier performance reviews and development initiatives.
• Drive cost reduction, value engineering, and demand consolidation to optimize spend.
• Conduct supplier and supply chain risk assessments to ensure business continuity and mitigate procurement risks.
• Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to support strategic sourcing and procurement projects.
• Analyze procurement spend, market intelligence, supplier performance, and category trends to support decisions.
• Support procurement transformation, process optimization, digitalization, and best practices.
• Drive supplier delivery performance, turnaround times, and on-time deliveries.
• Review supplier performance and drive improvement actions to meet delivery targets.

The Strategy Specialist (Procurement) is responsible for developing and implementing procurement strategies that optimize cost, quality, supplier performance, risk management, and business value. The role partners with internal stakeholders to identify strategic sourcing opportunities, drive continuous improvement, and support long-term procurement objectives aligned with organizational goals.

What You Will Do

• Develop and execute category strategies, sourcing plans, and procurement initiatives aligned with business objectives.
• Lead supplier selection, RFx (RFI/RFQ/RFP), tender exercises, and commercial evaluations to achieve best value.
• Negotiate commercial terms, Master Service Agreements (MSA), Long-Term Agreements (LTA), and other procurement contracts.
• Manage strategic supplier relationships through supplier performance reviews, continuous improvement, and development initiatives.
• Drive cost reduction, value engineering, and demand consolidation initiatives to optimize procurement spend.
• Conduct supplier and supply chain risk assessments to ensure business continuity and mitigate procurement risks.Ensure procurement activities comply with company governance, policies, contractual obligations, and regulatory requirements.
• Partner with cross-functional stakeholders (Operations, Engineering, Finance, Quality, Legal, EHS, and Business Units) to support strategic sourcing and procurement projects.
• Analyze procurement spend, market intelligence, supplier performance, and category trends to support strategic decision-making and continuous improvement.
• Support procurement transformation, process optimization, digitalization, and best practice
• Drive supplier in term of delivery performance, turnaround time (TAT), quotation lead time and on time deliveries.
• Supplier performances review and drive on improvement action with supplier to meet delivery performance.
