Job summary

A leading automation firm in Singapore is seeking a Procurement Specialist to enhance sourcing strategies and negotiate with suppliers. Responsibilities include managing purchase orders, driving cost reduction initiatives, and collaborating with internal departments. Ideal candidates will have a diploma in Purchasing/Supply Chain, at least 3 years of relevant experience, and strong negotiation skills. Responsibilities
  • Sourcing quotations, negotiate price, terms and contracts with suppliers to achieve the best value for the company.

  • Drive cost reduction initiatives by leveraging negotiation, value engineering, logistics optimization, and other innovative approaches to ensure total cost competitiveness.

  • Manage purchase orders from creation to delivery, including order tracking and resolve any supply chain issues that may arise.

  • Proactively monitor and expedite orders to ensure timely delivery of purchase parts and materials.

  • Liaise closely with internal department including Sales, Manufacturing, Finance, Engineering and Logistics to understand operational needs and provide effective procurement support.

Qualifications
  • Minimum Diploma in Purchasing/Supply Chain or equivalent

  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in manufacturing environment

  • Strong negotiation and vendor sourcing skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and working knowledge of SAP or similar ERP systems

  • A proactive team player with the ability to work independently

  • Detailed -oriented, confident, meticulous and able to perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment
