A leading procurement firm in Singapore is seeking a Procurement Specialist to oversee purchasing activities and supplier relationships. The role requires experience in procurement and strong analytical skills to optimize costs. Candidates should have a diploma or degree in Supply Chain Management or related fields and possess good communication abilities. Work Day: Monday to Friday (8.30am to 5.30pm)
Manage the full spectrum of purchasing activities, including sourcing, RFQ, price negotiation, shipping arrangements, and delivery follow-up.
Review and purchase materials, components, and equipment based on MRP requirements.
Work closely with vendors to expedite materials and ensure alignment with production schedules.
Collaborate with the supply chain team to support on-time delivery and customer satisfaction.
Oversee inventory management and review stocking rules periodically as directed by management.
Liaise with logistics partners for shipment arrangements, customs declarations, and tracking of delivery status.
Drive supplier performance in quality, cost, delivery, and inventory management.
Maintain accurate documentation of purchasing activities, including vendor setup, database updates, and submission of PO/DN/Invoices to Finance.
Handle RMA/NCT returns and coordinate with suppliers for resolution.
Support cost-reduction initiatives through effective sourcing and supplier management.
Analyze Bill of Materials (BOM) to ensure accuracy and cost efficiency.
Prepare and update weekly/monthly procurement reports in a timely manner.
Prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively to meet deadlines.
Perform other ad hoc duties as assigned.
Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or a related field.
Minimum 1–2 years of relevant experience in procurement, supply chain, or related industries (fresh graduates with strong interest may be considered).
Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel; knowledge of SAP or other ERP systems will be an advantage.
Ability to analyze Bills of Materials (BOM) and identify cost or process improvements.
Independent, proactive, and able to perform well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
A good team player with strong problem-solving skills and a positive work attitude.
