This is an entry-level full-time position in management and manufacturing within the travel arrangements industry.

Business Travel Consultant

Reporting to: Operations Lead / Operations Manager
Location: Singapore

Principal Responsibilities
  • Provide a dedicated service to a portfolio of corporate clients.
  • Always exceed client expectations.
  • Demonstrate proactive thinking when providing travel solutions.
  • Ensure Duty of Care in creating travel itineraries for guests.
  • Provide added value to clients through specialist supplier relationships.
  • Show exceptional communication skills with timely responses to calls and emails.
  • Perform quality control across all aspects of procedures and processes.
  • Provide the most cost‑effective solutions using all available sources.
  • Always comply with clients’ travel policies and guidelines.
  • Apply creative air‑fare / rail‑fare ticketing principles to source the best fares when applicable, e.g., split or combination ticketing across booking channels.
  • Recommend, procure and upsell ancillary products as required (Hotels, ground transportation, visa, insurance, ferry, translation services, etc.).
  • Meet all deadlines as required, internally or client‑driven SLAs.
  • Adopt a learning attitude and attend relevant training / coaching as required.
  • Achieve individual and team‑based objectives through the annual Performance Reward Scheme (PDR).
  • Reach revenue and profit targets by creating income opportunities.
  • Travel may be required.
Core Skills & Competencies
  • Continuous record of experience in a core business travel environment.
  • Minimum qualification level to Fares & Ticketing.
  • Fully conversant with one or all GDS systems.
  • Team‑player approach to an office environment.
  • Experience using MS Word and Excel.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Sound knowledge of the Corporate Clientele / Oil & Gas industry.
  • Excellent working knowledge of Marine and Offshore fares including add‑ons and offline fares.
  • Understanding of crew rotation and crew sheets.
  • Ability to monitor and manage hotel allocations.
  • Fully conversant in passport and visa requirements and processing.
