Job summary

A leading technology firm in Singapore is seeking a Functional Business Analyst to support change request management in a regulated banking environment. The ideal candidate will manage end-to-end change processes, coordinate with stakeholders, and prepare analytical reports. Candidates should have 2–7 years of relevant experience and advanced MS Excel skills. This contract role offers opportunities to impact departmental operations significantly.

About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and analytical Functional Business Analyst/Admin to support change request management and administrative functions within a regulated banking environment

The role involves coordinating with business stakeholders, handling quarterly release processes, managing estimates and prioritisation, preparing dashboards, and supporting departmental operations.

Key Responsibilities
1. Change Request & Release Management (Primary Role)
  • Manage end-to-end Run-the-Bank change requests under the Quarterly Release (QR) framework for finance and data domains.
  • Act as the single point of contact for all business needs related to CRs.
  • Coordinate and manage stakeholders including multiple technical delivery teams.
  • Work with business users to gather, clarify, and document functional requirements.
  • Liaise with technical teams to obtain initial L0 estimates.
  • Consolidate prioritised CR lists for impact assessment and effort estimation.
  • Review impact analysis and cost quotations with business stakeholders for final prioritisation.
  • Manage budget allocation, tracking, and billing for prioritised change requests.
2. Administrative & Department Support (Secondary Role)
  • Support onboarding/offboarding of departmental resources.
  • Coordinate key meetings and discussions for the department head.
  • Prepare meeting decks, project dashboards, and documentation.
  • Support training coordination and general administrative tasks.
Requirements
Education & Experience
  • 2–7 years of experience as a Functional Business Analyst or Business Support Analyst.
  • Strong understanding of Change & Process Management frameworks.
Technical & Functional Skills
  • Advanced MS Excel skills (including macros), MS PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
  • Experience in Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Hands-on experience with JIRA for requirement tracking and issue management.
  • Strong data analysis and reporting capabilities.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and documentation skills.
