Responsibilities

Project Manager is responsible for delivering the project on time, on budget, within scope, and within agreed quality standards. The key responsibilities are:

  • Manage the project to accomplish the goals, objectives, and success criteria identified and agreed to in the Project Charter
  • Understand and utilize the DePICT methodology and tools to manage the project life-cycle
  • Understand the customer’s business needs and how the project relates to it
  • Lead the project team; mentor individual project team members
  • Work with the project team to ensure there is a single integrated plan for the delivery of the project that is agreed, realistic and achievable
  • Identify and allocate resources necessary to complete the project; clearly communicate project team roles and responsibilities
  • Manage and control day-to-day aspects of the project including the integrated project plan, resources, time, cost, scope and performance
  • Use the scope change management process to manage all changes to the project
  • Develop and implement a communications plan for all stakeholders, including project status reporting
  • Facilitate risk identification, assessment, and response. Lead the Project Team towards continuous risk management
  • Manage issues and escalate as appropriate
  • Ensure the quality and content of all project deliverables
  • Ensure that regular project team reviews of the status of plans, budgets, issues, risks and changes are conducted
  • Coordinate activities and deliverables for all workstreams, working closely with the work stream leaders to execute successfully
  • Ensure the project plan is baselined to enable progress measurement against set criteria as well as impacts related to changes
  • Assist in acquiring resources
  • Work closely with, and advise, the Project Sponsor and Project Steering Committee; prepare periodic reports for the Steering Committee summarizing progress against the plan and any corrective actions needed to resolve deviations from plans
  • Develop, implement and sustain effective quality management guidelines for the project
  • Follow and be responsible for overall project governance
Requirements
  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in related field
  • Professional project management certification is a plus
  • Possess 3 to 5 years of experience in logistics/supply chain and project management
  • Ability to lead and manage a cross country, multicultural team
