Responsibilities
Business Development in the Singapore Market
  • Conduct research on the Singapore F&B market (competitor analysis, market entry strategies, trend analysis)
  • Support site selection for new outlets, including comparison of rental rates and lease conditions
  • Liaise and negotiate with external partners such as suppliers, vendors, and PR agencies
Operations Set-up & Support
  • Assist with preparatory work related to store openings (coordination of equipment, fixtures, and interior-related matters)
  • Support the preparation of required documentation and administrative or regulatory procedures
  • Prepare materials and manuals to support the standardization of store operations
HR & Administration Support
  • Support the development of basic HR policies (work regulations, labour management guidelines)
  • Assist with recruitment activities (job postings, candidate coordination, interview scheduling)
  • Support the development of employee handbooks and HR systems
Executive Assistance
  • Liaise and report to the Japan headquarters (including preparation of documents and participation in meetings in Japanese)
  • Provide administrative and research support to the Managing Director (e.g. schedule coordination, research tasks).
  • Flexibly handle a wide range of responsibilities typical of a business start-up phase
Requirements
  • Business-level proficiency in English and Japanese for liaising with Japanese-speaking stakeholders (JLPT N1 or above)
  • Proactive mindset with ability to take initiative in a start-up environment
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Experience in the F&B industry, start-ups, or SMEs is an added advantage
  • Background in market research, operations improvement, or HR initiatives is an added advantage
  • Experience working in a multicultural environment is an added advantage
  • Flexible and open mindset with strong willingness to take on new challenges
