Job Summary: An exciting opportunity to join a fast-growing logistics firm supporting regional operations across Southeast Asia and Australia.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and perform Freight Forwarding Sales and Business Development by soliciting new businesses in the Southeast Asia region, including Australia.
  • Perform account management to retain existing customers and perform cross-selling and upselling.
  • Establish sales strategies for both the group company and external customers.
  • Lead and oversee the Business Development team to achieve both short-term and long-term targets in terms of monthly/half-yearly revenue and profit.
  • Collaborate with the procurement team to secure competitive prices and space to maximize sales revenue and profit through achieving sales targets.
  • Keep abreast of and monitor Air & Ocean freight rates and market trends closely from time to time.
  • Prepare and report the Sales team performance to the management team during internal regular meetings on a weekly/monthly/half-yearly basis.
  • Manage and promote in-house solutions (Cello square platform) by adopting multiple marketing tools and strategies.
  • Any other ad-hoc duties assigned.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 15 years of Business Development experience in the Logistics/Freight Forwarding industry.
  • Minimum 3 or more years of people management experience in the freight forwarding and logistics industry.
  • Strong network connection with local transportation, Air-industry, and Ocean-freight service providers in the Southeast Asia and Australia region.
  • Ability to go on overseas business trips as and when required (Vietnam, Philippines, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Australia).
  • Knowledge about overall logistics business (Air, Ocean, Local Transportation, Warehouse).
  • Leadership experience in sales and procurement.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word/Excel/PowerPoint) and MS Office Suite.
