1. Client Acquisition & Relationship Management
- Source, engage, and onboard new clients, including:
High-net-worth individuals (HNWIs)
Family offices
Corporate investors
Financial intermediaries (banks, brokers, IFAs)
- Build and maintain strong long-term client relationships.
- Conduct client profiling, needs analysis, and risk assessments.
- Prepare and present investment proposals, fund offerings, and managed account solutions.
2. Fundraising & AUM Growth
- Achieve fundraising targets across the firm’s investment products (e.g., unit trusts, hedge funds, private funds, discretionary mandates).
- Develop and execute strategies to grow Assets Under Management (AUM).
- Participate in roadshows, webinars, seminars, and investor outreach initiatives.
- Identify cross-sell and up-sell opportunities for other products/services.
3. Distribution & Channel Development
- Build partnerships with:
Private banks
External asset managers
Financial advisory networks
Platforms (iFAST, Dollardex, Endowus, fund platforms)
- Manage distribution agreements and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Develop wholesale distribution pipelines and institutional coverage (if applicable).
4. Marketing & Investor Communication
- Work with marketing to develop:
Pitch decks
Fund factsheets
Quarterly investor letters
Product brochures and whitepapers
- Deliver regular fund updates, performance reviews, and market commentary to clients.
- Coordinate investor meetings, webinars, and marketing campaigns.
5. Product Knowledge & Investment Understanding
- Maintain deep understanding of:
Firm’s investment strategies
Portfolio construction
Risk frameworks
Market trends and macroeconomic developments
- Provide internal feedback to portfolio managers on investor preferences and market demand.
6. Compliance & Regulatory Responsibilities
- Ensure all client interactions comply with MAS regulations, including:
AML/KYC requirements
FAIR dealing guidelines
Advertising/marketing rules for CIS and private fund offerings
- Coordinate with compliance to onboard clients properly and maintain documentation.
7. Sales Pipeline & Reporting
- Maintain and track sales pipelines using CRM tools.
- Prepare monthly sales reports, AUM summaries, conversion rates, and revenue forecasts.
- Provide management insights on market opportunities and competitive landscape.
8. Strategic Development
- Identify new market segments, distribution channels, or product opportunities.
- Recommend enhancements to existing fund structures or share classes.
- Evaluate potential partnerships, alliances, or third-party platforms for expansion.
