Position Summary

We are seeking a servant leader who serves with humility, a heart for people, fostering strong relationships through integrity and love to join us as a Business Development Manager. This role is central to driving CCSS’s sustainability and growth by securing funding, contracts, and partnerships, while ensuring that our programmes are delivered efficiently and remain financially viable. The successful candidate will bridge external opportunities with internal capacity, contributing directly to our mission and long-term impact.

Responsibilities
  • Identify and pursue new funding opportunities including government tenders, service contracts, corporate CSR initiatives, and philanthropic grants.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with government agencies, corporates, foundations, and community stakeholders.
  • Lead the preparation of funding proposals, grant applications, and service contract submissions in collaboration with programme teams.
  • Negotiate funding terms to ensure cost recovery for staff and organisational overheads.
  • Collaborate with Finance and HR to design sustainable staffing and resource allocation models.
  • Develop innovative programme and service delivery models that enhance impact while maintaining cost efficiency.
  • Track and monitor contract performance, programme outcomes, and reporting requirements.
  • Provide market insights and business intelligence to support organisational strategy and programme innovation.
  • Contribute to organisational branding and positioning to strengthen CCSS’s role as a trusted service provider.
Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, social sciences, or related field with minimum 5 years of relevant experience in business development, partnership management, fundraising, or programme development.
  • Experience in the social service or non-profit sector strongly preferred.
  • Proven track record in securing contracts, grants, or partnerships.
  • Strong financial and analytical skills with ability to assess programme sustainability.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; knowledge of CRM or fundraising software an advantage.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
  • Organised, resourceful, and able to manage multiple priorities.
  • Passion for social service and alignment with CCSS’s mission and values.
