Overview

The incumbent will develop new businesses with a focus on Air & Ocean freight with the aim to positively impact the profitability of the Company.

Essential Job Functions
  • As a Business Development Manager, the candidate will hunt and develop new businesses with a focus on Air & Ocean freight with the aim to positively impact the profitability of the Company.
  • Proactively identify and develop potential customers in accordance with the company's objectives.
  • Follow-up on leads for potential customers.
  • Monitor and evaluate market trends and dynamics with the objective to identify and establish new business opportunities.
  • Participate in Customer Relationship Management activities and initiatives to improve business relationships, customer retention and new businesses from existing customers.
  • Work in partnership with Commercial and Operations teams to achieve service excellence.
Requirements
  • Possess 3 to 4 years of experience in a similar capacity.
  • Possess commercial acumen.
  • Possess effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to make impactful presentations.
  • Negotiation skills
  • Self-motivated to achieve sales targets and KPIs.
