About the Role

As a full-time Business Development Manager at PacMaK DB Naval Charterers & Consultants (Pte.) Ltd., you will play a vital role in driving the company's sales and growth initiatives. Based in Singapore, this position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast‑paced environment, focusing on expanding the company's client base and revenue streams.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Develop and execute effective sales and marketing strategies to establish the company’s presence in the Singapore and global marine market, proactively using data and customer insights (e.g., account performance, fleet operations, dry‑docking schedules, buying patterns) to identify opportunities and translate them into proactive sales plays.
  • Execute and follow up on proactive sales plays to drive growth and strengthen relationships.
  • Monitor account performance and take corrective action to ensure revenue, margin, and service‑level targets are achieved.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for assigned key accounts, ensuring responsiveness and ownership of all interactions.
  • Build and maintain strong, long‑term partnerships based on reliability, trust, and continuous improvement.
  • Develop and maintain a practical account plan with clear sales targets, up‑to‑date customer stakeholder maps, service priorities, and effective sales plays.
  • Know all key stakeholders at your customer accounts, maintain active relationships with each, and engage regularly as relevant to the account’s business priorities.
  • Escalate internal roadblocks that impact delivery or customer experience through the win‑room format, and bring forward constructive suggestions on customer engagement to key executive stakeholders.
  • Coordinate internal stakeholders to maintain alignment on account plan, priorities and ensure proactive issue resolution.
  • Work closely with Customer Experience, Service and other teams to deliver on SLAs and ensure a seamless customer experience.
  • Reporting directly to the Lead Director.
  • The position will be based in PacMaK DB Marine Group HQ office in Singapore.
  • Identify, prospect, and engage potential clients and partners to build long‑term business relationships.
  • Explore and evaluate new business opportunities, including shipyard collaboration, equipment supply, marine services, and offshore support.
  • Prepare and deliver sales presentations, proposals, and quotations to clients.
  • Collaborate with the management team to develop competitive pricing strategies and support tender preparation.
  • Build a strong understanding of market trends, client requirements, and competitors’ activities.
  • Maintain close contact with clients to ensure satisfaction and identify opportunities for repeat business.
  • Participate in marketing events, exhibitions, and networking sessions to promote the company’s services and capabilities.
  • Provide regular updates and reports on market development, project opportunities, and sales performance.
What We’re Looking For
  • Diploma or Degree in Marketing, Business, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in business development, sales, or account management (preferably within the marine/offshore industry).
  • Strong understanding of regional market dynamics and customer needs.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision yet collaborate effectively with headquarters and cross‑functional teams.
  • Willingness to travel locally and overseas as required to attend various maritime events and meet customers.
  • Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong negotiation, presentation, and communication skills (duplicate – retained for emphasis).
  • Ability to build and maintain long‑term professional relationships.
  • Self‑motivated, results‑oriented, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office/Excel and CRM software.
