Job Summary
The Business Development Manager (BDM) will lead efforts to identify new business opportunities, develop client relationships, and expand market presence within the process engineering sector. This role requires a strong technical background, commercial acumen, and strategic vision to drive revenue growth and long-term partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement business development strategies to achieve company growth objectives.
Identify new market opportunities, potential clients, and emerging industry trends.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and key stakeholders.
Collaborate with engineering and project teams to develop proposals, quotations, and technical presentations.
Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with clients.
Lead tendering and bidding processes ensuring compliance with technical and commercial requirements.
Monitor competitor activities and provide market intelligence to support decision-making.
Prepare sales forecasts, reports, and performance analyses for senior management.
Support marketing efforts through strategic input and feedback on promotional materials.
Qualifications and Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering or in related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development, sales, or project management.
Proven ability to achieve sales targets and manage key accounts.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
