Business Development Executive / Assistant Manager

Working Days: 5 Days A Week (Monday – Friday), 8.30am to 5.30pm
Office City Hall
Salary: $$4000 to $5000 for executive ; $5000 to $6500 for assistant manager

Requirements
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in the built environment (for assistant manager)
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a Consultancy firm
  • Experience as a QS consultant in AIS, 360, AECOM, WTP, LCH
  • Good knowledge in REDAS D&B and SIA form of contractors
Roles & Responsibilities
(A) Business News Sourcing
  1. Source and keep track on incoming business opportunities that are suitable & aligned with business objectives.
  2. Regular engagement with Client and Consultants for potential business opportunities, realising it from ‘News’ to ‘Tender’ to ‘Award’.
  3. Identify potential business opportunities from market research and analysis.
(B) Business Department Duties
  1. Carry out day‑to‑day Business Department duties such as:
    • Prepare board papers for Headquarters (HQ) approval and update.
    • Check & report weekly business news (internal & to HQ).
    • Carry out research & market analysis for business opportunities, competitors and other market trends – discuss and report regularly to GM and Management.
    • Guide business executives on business department duties including checking and managing timeline of the said works.
    • And any other relevant duties assigned by General Manager (GM) of the Business Department.
  2. Manage and regularly discuss timeline of all tasks with GM and ensure timely deliverables.
(C) Tender Support & Coordination
  1. Provide support during tender stage such as:
    • Facilitate & coordinate with other departments on tender submittals.
    • Check, compile and ensure an adequate overall tender submission.
    • Organise and facilitate Risk Assessment & Value Engineering sessions.
    • Manage and keep track of all tasks to follow up with each tender, ensuring timely execution.
    • Coordinate and facilitate discussions with Consultants for D&B tenders.
  2. Prepare and deliver tender presentations during tender interview as well as corporate presentations when necessary.
(D) Others
  1. Plan for overall business events with GM throughout the financial year.
  2. Manage timeline for each business events with business executives and ensure timely follow up on tasks until execution of event.
  3. Plan for marketing initiatives for the company with GM throughout the financial year and follow up with execution of these initiatives with business executives.
