Position Overview
This role at Knovel Engineering supports the company’s growth by identifying leads, engaging potential clients, and assisting in the development of proposals and client solutions. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about technology, innovation, and building meaningful client relationships. This person will work closely with senior members of the business development team to execute sales activities, develop market insights, and nurture client engagement across both government and commercial sectors.
The role offers a competitive monthly base salary ranging from SGD 4,000 to 7,000 complemented by annual performance-based bonuses that reward excellence and results.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and qualify prospective clients through market research, referrals, and outreach.
- Nurture leads through structured engagement, demonstrating a clear understanding of client pain points and needs.
- Manage early-stage sales conversations and coordinate follow-ups to advance opportunities in the pipeline.
- Maintain and track opportunities using CRM tools, ensuring accuracy and timely updates.
- Support the development of proposals, quotations, and capability decks tailored to client requirements.
- Participate in client meetings and assist in preparing meeting summaries and action items.
- Manage and grow smaller client accounts or designated sectors under supervision.
- Support account reviews by gathering feedback, tracking deliverables, and identifying upsell or cross-sell opportunities.
- Build positive working relationships with client stakeholders and serve as a reliable point of contact for day-to-day communication.
- Research emerging market trends, industry developments, and competitor activities to identify business opportunities.
- Contribute insights for internal reports, sales strategies, and go-to-market initiatives.
- Participate in industry events, exhibitions, and partner activities to expand Knovel’s visibility and network.
- Collaborate with engineering, delivery, and marketing teams to ensure proposals and engagements reflect Knovel’s technical strengths and business priorities.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, Computer Science, or related disciplines.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in business development, sales, or account coordination, ideally in technology, consulting, or innovation sectors.
- Proven ability to generate leads, manage client relationships, and support end-to-end sales activities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word) and CRM tools.
- Highly motivated, proactive, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Enthusiastic, proactive, and eager to grow into a consultative business development professional.
