Job description

A global investment platform is seeking a highly driven Business Development Director / VP to lead capital-raising efforts across Asia-Pacific, the Middle East, and Europe. The role focuses on expanding the firm’s investor base by targeting institutional and sophisticated private-wealth clients and driving successful deal closures.

Role Overview

Reporting to senior leadership in Singapore, the successful candidate will own the full fundraising cycle—from origination and investor engagement to due diligence, negotiation, and closing. This role is ideal for a seasoned capital-raising professional with a strong, established network across major institutional investors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a targeted fundraising strategy focused on institutional investors such as sovereign wealth funds, pension funds, insurance companies, government-linked entities, endowments, funds of funds, external asset managers, and family offices.
  • Leverage an existing high-level network of C-suite executives and investment decision-makers, while continuously expanding new relationships.
  • Lead the full end-to-end fundraising process: introductions, pitching, due-diligence management, term negotiation, legal documentation, and final commitment closing.
  • Partner internally with investment, product, and distribution teams to ensure accurate communication on strategy, performance, and fund terms.
  • Work with marketing and investor relations teams to plan and execute roadshows, webinars, seminars, and exclusive investor events.
  • Maintain detailed CRM, pipeline tracking, and forecasting for senior management visibility.
  • Ensure all marketing and pitch materials are accurate, compliant, and aligned with investor expectations.
Ideal Candidate Profile
  • 10+ years of institutional fundraising experience within private equity, alternatives, asset management, or related investment platforms.
  • A proven ability to independently close large commitments (USD 100M+), particularly with sovereign wealth funds, insurers, pensions, and family offices.
  • Strong and warm existing relationships with senior decision-makers at major institutions regionally and globally.
  • Familiarity with private fund structures, subscription agreements, due-diligence processes, and legal negotiation.
  • Strong understanding of product structuring, performance reporting, and investor requirements.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to position complex strategies clearly and persuasively.
  • Highly entrepreneurial, self-driven, and outcome-oriented, with a history of successfully bringing deals across the finish line.
  • Fluency in English; additional Asian language proficiency is an advantage.
  • Willingness to travel across Asia-Pacific and occasionally to other regions.
  • Singapore work eligibility preferred.
Why Join

This is a high-impact role offering the opportunity to shape and expand the institutional footprint of a global investment platform, working closely with senior leadership and top-tier investors worldwide.
