About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and detail‑oriented Director to lead the ECO business unit of the Gain City group of companies.

In this role, you will be responsible for establishing and managing end‑to‑end operations for a scalable and compliant e‑waste collection and recycling business. You will lead the design and implementation of operational processes and ensure full compliance with regulations. You will recruit, train and lead a high‑performing team to carry out efficient collection, dismantling and disposal of e‑waste.

Key Responsibilities
  • Be familiar with the EPR Scheme for E‑waste, including relevant obligations
  • Ensure full compliance with all relevant regulations, statutory requirements and internal SOPs
  • Design, implement and manage a scalable and sustainable business model for the collection and recycling of e‑waste
  • Lead contract negotiations and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and partners
  • Lead, coach and develop a high‑performing team of collectors and operations personnel to ensure effective and efficient operations
  • Review existing processes and organisational structures to identify opportunities for improved efficiency, automation and enhanced business partnering
  • Explore and evaluate diversification opportunities, including, but not limited to scrap metal, food waste and other recyclable materials
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in e‑waste management
  • Proven leadership experience, with a strong track record of building and developing high‑performing teams
  • In‑depth knowledge of regulations and statutory compliance
  • Demonstrated success in driving process improvements
  • Strong experience in cost management and leading efficiency initiatives
