Roles & Responsibilities
A) Business Opportunity Sourcing
- Actively source and track new business opportunities that align with the company’s strategic goals.
- Maintain regular engagement with clients and consultants to identify and convert leads from “news” to tender stage, and eventually to project award.
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential prospects and industry trends.
(B) Business Department Operations
- Perform daily operational tasks for the Business Department, including preparing board papers for Headquarters (HQ) approvals and updates; monitoring and reporting weekly business news internally and to HQ; conducting market and competitor analysis for strategic insights, with regular reporting to the General Manager (GM) and Management.
- Supervise business executives in their duties and ensure all timelines are adhered to.
- Handle any additional tasks as assigned by the GM of the Business Department.
- Coordinate closely with the GM to monitor and manage all task timelines, ensuring timely completion.
(C) Tender Coordination & Support
- Provide comprehensive support during the tender process: liaise with various departments to coordinate and compile complete and accurate tender submissions; organize and lead Risk Assessment and Value Engineering sessions; track and manage all follow-up actions related to each tender submission; coordinate with consultants for Design & Build tenders.
- Deliver tender and corporate presentations during interviews or as required.
(D) Events & Marketing Initiatives
- Collaborate with the GM to plan and execute business events throughout the fiscal year.
- Oversee event timelines and ensure all action items are followed through to completion.
- Develop and execute marketing initiatives in coordination with business executives.
(E) Required Skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong presentation and public speaking capabilities
- Proven leadership abilities, including team mentoring and cross-functional coordination
- Skilled in preparing professional marketing and promotional materials
(F) Experience Requirements
- Minimum 8 years of experience in the built environment sector
- At least 4 years of experience within a consultancy environment
- Preferably with a background in Quantity Surveying (QS) consultancy
