We are seeking a proactive Business Development & Marketing Assistant for a 6-month project to support the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Singapore in delivering one of the region’s most dynamic B2B trade events: Italian Food & Beverage Singapore (IFBS) 2026. Taking place at the Suntec Singapore Convention & Exhibition Centre in May 2026, IFBS is the premier regional platform dedicated to connecting Italian food, beverage, wine and spirits producers with key buyers, importers, distributors and industry partners across ASEAN and the Asia‑Pacific. The 2026 edition will feature over 200 Italian exhibitors, curated B2B meetings, tastings and strategic networking opportunities. Through this role, you will drive outreach, coordination and promotional activities that directly contribute to the success of IFBS and the internationalisation goals of participating companies.

Business Development / Marketing Assistance (6 months Project)

Duties and Responsibilities

• Conduct market research on the Food & Beverage sector in the ASEAN region.
• Identify and research direct buyers, importers, distributors, and retailers.
• Contact buyers by email and phone to present the IFBS 2026 event and schedule calls and/or meetings with potential buyers to secure their attendance.
• Follow up with buyers to confirm interest and participation.
• Contact and coordinate with F&B industry associations and relevant sector bodies.
• Support the logistic activities related to overseas buyers.
• Assist in creating B2B meeting agendas.
• Support the team at Suntec during the 3 days of the event.
• Assist with event’s operational tasks (bookings, orders, coordination).
• Provide post‑event follow‑up with buyers and partners.
• Support the team with any additional tasks related to IFBS 2026.
• Creating/designing artworks and flyers for marketing promotion using Canva Pro – Chamber’s Account.
• Posting, sharing, scheduling of social media posts on LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram (posts and stories) through the Chamber’s official accounts.
• Creating and sending EDMs to the database to promote the event.
• Creating short videos of the event using AI tools.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Previous working experience in a similar position.
• Master’s & Bachelor’s in Communications.
• Familiar with Social Media Practices and paid ads.
• Good knowledge of Email Marketing and data analysis.
• In‑depth knowledge of market research data, data analysis and statistics.
• Able to work independently with minimum supervision.
• Outstanding communication and presentation skills.
• Excellent organisational and time‑management skills.
• Analytical, data‑driven problem solving.
• Fluency in Italian is a plus.
